Dear Fellow Parents:
As parents and caregivers of children at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, we understand that hospitals can be overwhelming. We also understand how important it is for you to learn about your child's condition, the Hospital, and the resources available to you. Although you will receive some of this information from Hospital staff, we want you to have as much information in writing so that you can read it at your convenience.
The Patient and Visitor Guides were developed to provide information that you will need for preparing for your child's stay or during your child's hospitalization at Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. It includes descriptions of Hospital services, as well as tips brought to you by the family leaders of the Hospital's Family Advisory Council. Our goal is to make your hospital experience as easy as possible while your child receives the highest quality medical care.

We also hope it provides some comfort to know that there are other parents and families who have experienced the emotions of having a sick child. Despite being strangers, we are united by the same feelings. Parents are key members of a child's health care team. The Family Advisory Council is a group of 30 parents just like you, working together with Hospital staff to make Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital a better place for children and families.
