Children's Health Advocacy
NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and the Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health in partnership with their affiliated universities, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medical College, have served the needs of the New York metropolitan and surrounding areas for more than a century. A legacy of excellence in medicine, research and medical education has positioned our Hospital as a leader in clinical care, not only in New York State, but also across the nation. As a premier academic medical center, we recognize the profound responsibility that comes with that achievement to be a leading voice on children's health issues. Adding a voice to children's advocacy on a city, state and national level that is informed by our healthcare experience enables our Hospital to fulfill its mission and responsibility to the community at large.
The Hospital supports policies and initiatives that improve the health and welfare of all children and serves as an advocate for children and their families, especially medically underserved pediatric populations, helping to increase awareness of issues that affect this vulnerable population.
