Suzanne and Bob Wright, founders of Autism Speaks and grandparents to a child with autism, have raised awareness, focus and funds for autism in the United States. Their dedication to raising public awareness for the condition has had enormous impact on countless people. For these tremendous accomplishments and contributions, Columbia University Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital honored Suzanne and Bob Wright with the Columbia Presbyterian Health Sciences Advisory Council Award for Distinguished Service. The award was presented to the Wrights in Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital's Wintergarden on November 13.
