Visiting Hours
Parents/Guardians: Any time of day or night
Family Members and Friends: 12 noon to 8 pm
We understand the presence of family and friends is important to your child's well being. Parents and guardians are encouraged to be with their child at any time of the day or night. Other family members (including siblings and grandparents) and friends may visit from 12 noon to 8 pm any day of the week. Visiting hours may be limited in critical care areas and may also be modified on any patient care unit to best meet the needs of the patient. If you have any questions about our visiting policies or hours, please ask your nurse.

All visitors must receive a pass from the front desk at the main entrance. Family and visitor waiting areas are located on each patient floor. Visitors who have colds or other infections should not visit until they feel well. Depending on your child's condition, special visiting guidelines may be necessary. Please check with your child's nurse.

Parent Identification Badge
To make it easier for parents and guardians to come and go within the Hospital, and to support the Hospital's security program, an identification badge is provided following your child's admission. Once your child is settled, you can go to the front desk where your photo will be taken and an ID badge issued. The process takes just a few minutes. The badge will contain your photo and an expiration date based on your child's estimated length of stay. You should wear this badge whenever you are in the Hospital. Expiration dates will be extended as necessary. Grandparents and siblings will receive regular visitor passes.
No Balloon Policy
Please note that the Hospital has a no balloon policy and does not allow patients to receive latex or helium balloons. This policy has been adopted in response to the concerns of The Joint Commission, which accredits health care organizations, regarding concerns about allergic reactions to latex, as well as for maintaining a hospital's physical environment since balloons have the potential to adhere to the ceiling and could block air vents. The Gift Shop offers hospital-safe small balloons.
