Lactation Services
NICU nurses are experienced in facilitating lactation and supporting breastfeeding. Certified lactation consultants have advanced training in breastfeeding support. They primarily help mothers overcome obstacles to breastfeeding or provide emotional and educational support to ensure breastfeeding. This support role is meant to enhance maternal satisfaction and answer questions and concerns of parents who are struggling with breastfeeding. Several of our NICU nurses are experienced in lactation services.
