Spirit of Care Program
To meet the many needs of women with gynecological cancer beyond medical care, the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center has initiated the Spirit of Care program. This important program helps women cope with the psychological aspects of having cancer, addressing issues involving anxiety and depression, sexuality, and preparing the family for changes. Participants also find assistance on coping with side effects of treatments, help with home care, and guidance for many other tangible needs associated with having cancer.
