Endoscopy Suite
Welcome to our procedure center. The Laura Rothenberg Bronchoscopy and Endoscopy Center has been designed with young and adolescent patients in mind.
The pediatric endoscopy suite is designed to provide a child friendly environment before, during and after procedure. Walls are painted with bright and cheerful colors and illustrated with murals throughout the Center.
The open and airy waiting area enables parents and loved ones to be in close proximity to the reception desk so that there is always easy to access to the staff for questions. Lockers are provided for the convenience of both children and families within the waiting area. A telephone booth is fun and functional, allowing parents and visitors to speak in private on their cell phones. A play area rounds out the comfortable environment and is stocked with games and puzzles to entertain children as they are waiting for their procedure.
The Center's procedure rooms are equipped with the latest technology and equipment. Parents can accompany their children to the pre-operating area and then wait for their return in the waiting room. There is also a room where parents can speak privately with their doctor after the procedure. Nurses have full view of patients in the recovery area, which has chairs at each bedside for parents/caregivers. Each recovery bed has a ceiling sculpture that is an uplifting diversion for the child. A quiet room is available as needed.
