Craniofacial
Our geneticists are an integral part of the NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hosital Craniofacial Center, a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive specialty consultation and care for children with craniofacial anomalies.
The team is made up of subspecialists in:
- audiology
- oral health care services (orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics, pediatric dentistry and maxillofacial prosthodontics)
- neurosurgery
- ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgery
- oral and maxillofacial surgery
- otolaryngology/head and neck surgery
- plastic and reconstructive surgery
- speech and language pathology
- general pediatrics
- psychosocial services
Our craniofacial team sees patients the first Friday of each month from 2 - 4 PM. Patients are evaluated by all the team members and an individualized management plan is designed to address the patient's craniofacial abnormalities and overall health. Patients will then be given treatment plans with the necessary specialists of the team following the initial evaluation. Our geneticist, Dr. Kwame Anyane-Yeboa and genetic counselor, Edwin Guzman, M.S., attend each monthly evaluation.
