At the Carmen and John Thain Center for Prenatal Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital, we know pregnancy involves caring for two patients -- mother and baby. In high-risk cases, where the baby has a birth defect, the unborn child requires the expertise of pediatric specialists while the mother may need specialized adult care.

Center patients benefit from the resources, research and world-renowned expertise and experience of our physicians. We understand that optimal care for these complex cases is best achieved by facilitating collaboration and communication across multiple specialties. Leading specialists across numerous disciplines provide a full range of prenatal diagnostic testing, consultations, genetic counseling and pregnancy management, within a caring and supportive environment. The Carmen and John Thain Center for Prenatal Pediatrics is the only such comprehensive center truly integrated into a children's hospital in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut region, and one of only a few worldwide.

We believe the best outcomes are a result of multidisciplinary collaborative care where there is active communication amongst specialists. This team approach increases positive pediatric outcomes and we're proud to be part of this comprehensive effort setting a new standard of family-centered, advanced fetal care and compassionate support for women with high-risk pregnancies and their families.
