Shining Star Awards
Shining Star is NewYork-Presbyterian's program to enable patients and their family members to recognize employees who provide outstanding and compassionate patient care. The Shining Star program gives patients and family members an "on the spot" opportunity to thank staff who exemplify We Put Patients First. It also provides opportunities to acknowledge our Shining Stars and share their stories with co-workers. Shining Star will focus primarily on units and departments that are directly involved in patient care.

DAISY Awards
The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards excellence in nursing. It was created by The DAISY Foundation to recognize the clinical skills, extraordinary compassion and care exhibited by nurses everyday. The award is given monthly to an outstanding nurse in more than 50 hospitals across the United States.
