Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health

The Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center is a "pediatric hospital within a hospital." The Komansky Center is located in the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center on the Upper East Side at East 68th Street and York Avenue.

We have a long and distinguished tradition of leadership in pediatric care, education, and research. With the creation of the Komansky Center, we have launched a major renaissance in child health at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell. Over the past three years, we have welcomed many new physicians with clinical expertise and experience in all of the pediatric subspecialties, and begun major renovation of our patient care facilities, including our recently completed Pediatric Emergency Department. Our pediatric programs serve all ages-from infancy to adolescence. Our physicians and faculty-who are affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University--has expertise in a number of subspecialties, including respiratory conditions, cancer, and congenital heart disease, to name a few.

Each year, thousands of children of all ages, from the nation and around the world, come to the Komansky Center for care. Through our many inpatient, ambulatory and community services, our physicians focus on improving the health care and quality of life for children.

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is one of the top five pediatric hospitals in the nation, according to the U.S.News & World Report 2005 "America's Best Hospitals"survey and the only hospital in the tri-state area to receive such recognition.
